Herend Fishnet Figurines
Herend Fishnet figurines became popular in the 1950s. The fishnet design, which adorns many of today's Herend figurines, took form in 1874. After observing an old porcelain plate with a design of a fish with intricate scales, the artist painted a rooster figurine, with a black fishnet pattern imitating feathers. Todays figurines are available with the fishnet painted from head to toe.
